This recall was initiated when Troyer discovered that these containers had been improperly labeled, deleting milk from the ingredients listing. Consumers with severe allergies to milk and milk products are at risk for experiencing severe allergic reactions if they were to consume this product. The distribution of these items has been stopped until both Troyer and the FDA are satisfied that the problem has been resolved. No illnesses have been reported in relation to this recall as of yet.

Consumers with allergies to milk are being urged to return the products to the place of purchase to receive a full refund.

This time, the potentially compromised items are jalapenos distributed by the Castellini Group based out of Newport, Kentucky.  The Ohio Department of Agriculture was conducting a test of the product when that test revealed positive traces of salmonella. 

Packages of the jalapenos were shipped to five U.S. Foods divisions throughout the month of March. Thankfully, illnesses have yet to be reported in conjunction with the recall.  Customers should have been contacted directly by Castellini, and it should go without saying that any affected product still out there should not be consumed.  It’s unclear at this point where the salmonella came from.

This situation has elicited questions about the real state of the production of the E-Cat units.

Recent pronouncements from the inventor make it appear that he is working on a 45 megawatt generating plant. This is supposed to use his Low Energy Nuclear Reaction powered E-Cat with help from the German engineering company Siemens. He has posted in his blog this plant would be able to produce 45 megawatts of heat as well as 15 megawatts of electricity. It will cost about 30 million and will need around 7.5 megawatts of electricity. On the other hand, he has also announced that he has been working in his 1.5 Mega Watt E-Cat heater device. In fact, there are around a dozen customers that are supposedly waiting for these units. However, it seems that these E-Cat devices are still under development the Bologna, Italy factory.

Announcements coming from Andrea Rossi have become confusing in recent weeks. He talked about the commercialization of a home heating and water heating device. He has also stated that he is getting closer to finally get the patent for the Low Energy Nuclear Reaction device. It should be remembered that he only has an Italian patent and is supposedly waiting for the approval of the US or EU patent. Lastly, Rossi has also been talking about constructing a robotized Home E-Cat factory in Florida, USA.  Without definite proof, people will continue having questions about Rossi’s technology developments.

Recent posts at the Journal of Nuclear Physics reveal that Italian inventor Andrea Rossi is open to the possibility of a third party to provide addons for the E-Cat’s heat. Jim Rice posted a question regarding all the different turbines that are proposed to utilize the heat from an E-Cat.  He noticed that Rossi’s main task is to provide the best heat module possible for sale as well as allow others to add electricity on the Rossi Energy Catalyzer device.

Andrea Rossi answered that he is open to leaving it to the others the task of applying electric generators and other options to the E-Cat. However, he clarified that he and his team will have to do it at its phase now. In the future, however, a third party will be allowed to provide these addons.  He also revealed that the E-Cat has not been designed to compete with existing heaters. They are actually designed to be applied to the existing heater models.

It is quite logical that once the Home energy catalyzer units are in working condition, Leonardo Corporation themselves, would design additional options. They are the ones who know the details of the design of the Rossi energy catalyzers until now and would be in the best position to do so. What is significant is Rossi’s willingness to allow others to try to find ways to utilize the Andrea Rossi E-Cat as clothes dryers, patio heaters, pool heaters, and others. This will certainly open up the energy catalyzer to the imagination of other inventors and engineers.
