There are many important criteria that you have to adhere to when you are trying to promote your website online. The battle is to achieve a decent position on any or all of the search engines for the words that relate to the products that you are looking to sell or are the phrases that you think people would search when requiring a product or a facility from your companies site. There are so many different companies serach engines including Yahoo, MSN, Ask Geeves, Google and Bing. The biggest and most important in terms of search Engines is certainly Google, but to compete against this market leader Microsoft has introduced Bing. Google used to be the default search engine used by Microsoft on all of their computers, but apparently both companies fell out over Googles introduction of a Windows style product, a market place whereby Microsoft were the market leader. As a result of this dispute as mentioned earlier Microsoft introduced Bing as the default search engine installed on all Windows products and this has created the battle. It will be very interesting to see how the above battle evolves over the coming years as both companies battle for dominance in each others previously monoploised markets. As a company at this stage our main goal is to be at the highest position possible within tyhe Google serach engine for water coolers, drinking fountain, drinking fountains and water cooler. This is because presently this is the most popular of all the search engines, but I think over time they could be caught up by Bing.
